Claire Moglove

Claire Moglove is retired from private practice as a lawyer where she focused on Family Law, in particular mediation, negotiation and collaborative law. She is a graduate from the University of Manitoba’s Law School and was called to the BC Bar in 1980. She established her private law practice in Vancouver in 1981 and later relocated her practice to Campbell River in 1992.

First elected to Campbell River City Council in 2008, Claire served two terms as Councillor (2008-2014). During this time, she served as Chair of the Comox-Strathcona Regional Hospital Board for three years, and was a member of several committees, including the North Island Hospitals Project Liaison Committee. She also served on the executives of both AVICC (the Association of Vancouver Island and Coastal Communities) and UBCM (the Union of BC Municipalities), for three years, rising to the position of UBCM 2nd Vice-President. Claire was a member of several UBCM committees, including the First Nations Committee and the Select Committee on BC Ferries.  While on City Council, Claire served as liaison to the Community Advisory Committee, the Advisory, Planning and Environmental Commission, the Homelessness Coalition and the Downtown Business Improvement Area. She has been an active volunteer in Campbell River, including for the Relay for Life, the Terry Fox Run and for various sporting events.

Claire lives in Campbell River.

 

Claire Moglove was first appointed to the Board of Island Health on October 22, 2015. Her current term expires on December 31, 2019.
