David Kruyt is the Corporate Controller for a large Island based insurance brokerage. He currently volunteers as a member of the Professional Conduct Enquiry Committee of the BC Certified Management Accountants Society, and sits on the board of governors of the North Island College where he chairs the Audit Committee.
Prior to relocating to Vancouver Island, Dave held the position of Vice-President and Controller with an international trade finance company, worked in private practice as a forensic accountant, and spent several years as the Controller of a not-for-profit private club. He has also been involved as a director on numerous community and arts councils over the years, having focused his efforts primarily on the financial operations of the societies he was representing.
A Certified Management Accountant, Dave also holds a Bachelor of Business Administration (Policy Analysis) and a Certificate in Liberal Arts from Simon Fraser University, and diplomas in both Business Administration and Canadian Studies from Malaspina College. He currently resides in Campbell River.
