Vern Slaney has spent his long career in business concentrating on organizational development, strategic planning, business process improvement, capital spending, and merger/acquisition work.
Vern spent 30 years in the steel and metal processing and distribution industry working for a national company, before becoming President when the firm transformed from a family owned business to become part of a multi-national corporation.
During the past 10 years he has been active in the consulting field, specializing in interim executive placement as well as providing counsel to family owned and partnership businesses on preparation for succession.
Vern is a Business Administration graduate from Ryerson in Toronto, and has sat on Boards for both "for" and "not-for" profit organizations over the years. As a health care director, he has specific interest in governance and audit activities.
Vern lives in Parksville with his wife.
