Chief Professional Practice & Chief Nursing Officer
As Chief Professional Practice & Chief Nursing Officer Dawn plays a key role in supporting clinical programs to deliver the highest quality health and care to the people we serve.
Dawn has worked as a nurse for over 30 years, and has served Island Health and Island Health’s predecessor organizations extensively in a variety of front line roles, including Emergency, ICU, and Gorge Rehabilitation. Dawn has also served in leadership positions including Clinical Nurse Educator, a variety of manager roles, and most recently as Director, Community Hospitals. As CPP/CNO, Dawn will be supporting ongoing work related to allied health, nursing and professional practice.
This role is a senior leadership position that will provide strategic direction for professional practice for members of the interdisciplinary health team including nursing and allied health. The CPP/CNO plays a key role in developing and establishing programs that allow our clinical and program staff to deliver patient focused care throughout Island Health.
