Executive Vice President, People, Organizational Development, Practice and Chief Nurse
Lynn is the Executive Vice President, People, Organizational Development, Practice and Chief Nurse at the Vancouver Island Health Authority where she provides strategic leadership for Human Resources, Organizational Development, Professional Practice, Research, Ethics, and Quality and Patient Safety. Prior to this role, Lynn held executive positions at Fraser Health, the BC Cancer Agency and the former Capital Health Region.
Lynn has a PhD with a research focus on organizational change, practice and leadership. She is a Fellow of the Canadian College of Health Leaders (previously known as the Canadian College of Service Executives), a CHSRF EXTRA Fellow and holds Adjunct Professor positions in the Schools of Nursing at the Universities of British Columbia and Victoria.
Lynn is involved in many research initiatives, most recently as a core team member on the Canadian Patient Safety Institute research related to safety in community care which builds on her fellowship research. Lynn has served on the Board of the Health Care Leadership Association of British Columbia and in 2008 she received the National Nursing Leadership Award from Canadian College of Health Service Executives.
