VICTORIA – The Vancouver Island Health Authority (VIHA) is celebrating World Breastfeeding Week in Canada (October 1 - 7) by supporting the Quintessence Breastfeeding Challenge to help raise awareness across the region about the importance of breastfeeding within the first hour of life as well as the many health benefits to both moms and infants.
