Greater Victoria Area H1N1 Clinic Changes

November 27, 2009

VICTORIA – Due to limited quantities of H1N1 vaccine, the following immunization clinics scheduled to take place in the Greater Victoria area have been cancelled:

  • Saturday, November 28 at West-shore Town Centre (2945 Jacklin Road)
  • Monday, November 30 at Oak Bay High School (2101 Cadboro Bay Road)
  • Monday, November 30 at Latter Day Saints Church (701 Mann Ave.)
  • Tuesday, December 1 at Latter Day Saints Church (701 Mann Ave.)

Due to a required change in venue for the month of December, the H1N1 clinics scheduled to take place at the West-shore Town Centre (2945 Jacklin Road) are being re-scheduled. VIHA will publish new dates, times and locations as soon as they become available.

A full listing of clinic dates and times is posted on the Vancouver Island Health Authority website at www.viha.ca

All British Columbians who need and want to be immunized against the H1N1 flu virus are now eligible to receive the vaccine. This has resulted in increased demand and the clinics over the past week have been very active, resulting in this temporary shortage of vaccine supply. VIHA expects to receive an additional 100,000 doses of vaccine early next week.
