On Monday, March 21, the Nanaimo Hospital Auxiliary will present NRGH representatives with a cheque for $250,000 for the purchase of Emergency Room and Intensive Care equipment. The Auxiliary will also donate an additional $85,000 in support of other NRGH departments.
The presentation will take place during the Nanaimo Auxiliary’s Annual General Meeting.

Over the past 10 years, Nanaimo Hospital Auxiliary volunteers have raised over $3 million in support of NRGH, and have provided over 40,000 hours of community service annually.
“The donations from the Auxiliary help support quality patient care in all aspects of the hospital,” said Marci Ekland, NRGH site director.
“Our goal is to provide an exceptional patient experience for all patients within our community and we sincerely appreciate the ongoing support of the Nanaimo Hospital Auxiliary in helping make this goal possible.”
