VICTORIA – An initiative designed to reduce patient traffic in the emergency room (ER), while also ensuring patients receive timely access to quality intravenous antibiotic drug therapy treatments, has successfully diverted close to 200 patients from Vancouver Island Emergency Departments since it opened in September at Royal Jubilee Hospital (RJH).
