VIHA Invests $7.6 Million to Help Break the Cycle of Mental Illness, Addictions and Homelessness

VICTORIA – Health care supports and services for homeless people in Victoria will be enhanced as a result of a $7.6 million funding increase in what is a major step forward in the Vancouver Island Health Authority’s response to the Mayor’s Task Force on homelessness, VIHA Chief Executive Officer Howard Waldner announced today.
