VICTORIA – The Vancouver Island Health Authority (VIHA) has announced the successful proponents of a Request for Proposal (RFP) process announced earlier this year for locally based food security programs and initiatives through the Community Food Action Initiative (CFAI). These 15 organizations were awarded over $160,000 in total from VIHA, in partnership with the Ministry of Health, to benefit communities in the region through increasing awareness and access to local healthy food and planning for a sustainable food system.
