Port Alberni – The Westcoast General Hospital (WCGH) is experiencing an outbreak of a Norwalklike virus on a 19-bed unit. A total of 2 patients and 4 staff have been affected by the outbreak that appears to have started on January 10, 2006. Stringent infection control and cleaning procedures are in place at WCGH.
