B.C. Health Authority Shared Services Organization
The B.C. Health Authority Shared Services Organization (SSO) represents a clear commitment from the health authorities and the Government of B.C. to more effectively and efficiently integrate the delivery of common non-clinical services. The SSO was launched in February 2009, following a year of research and preparation. It was established with the full support of Government, Health Authority Boards and Chief Executive Officers.
The SSO was formed to find opportunities for cost savings by working together on common services. By getting the most value for every dollar spent, health authorities will have more resources available to go toward direct patient care.
