Health Shared Services BC

The Health Shared Services BC (HSSBC) is a unique initiative that provides non-clinical support services to BC's six health authorities. Services to BC’s health authorities are now provided by a new division of Provincial Health Services Authority (PHSA) called Health Shared Services BC (HSSBC). St. Joseph's General Hospital

St. Joseph's General Hospital, Comox, is a 234-bed hospital (109 in acute care and 125 in extended and transitional care). St. Joseph's General Hospital is owned by the Bishop of Victoria and is managed locally by a board of Comox Valley residents. Visit www.sjghcomox.ca for more information. 

B.C. Cancer Agency - Vancouver Island Centre

The Vancouver Island Centre is located next to the Royal Jubilee Hospital in Victoria and is one of five full service cancer centres of the BC Cancer Agency (BCCA). We provide oncology consultations, chemotherapy and radiotherapy treatments for people who live on Vancouver Island. Beacon Community Services

Beacon Community Services is a non-profit agency offering Home Support Services as well a wide variety of social, health, housing and employment programs in an atmosphere of respect, understanding and compassion. Broadmead Care Society  - The Lodge at Broadmead & Veterans Health Centre

The Greenwoods Eldercare Society is a not for profit organization that owns and manages residential care facilities on behalf of the residents of the Southern Gulf Islands of BC. The Greenwoods Care facility is a residential care facility in which professional care and supervision is provided for people who live with complex health needs. Island Medical Program/UBC

University of BC’s Faculty of Medicine, in collaboration with the University of Northern British Columbia (UNBC), the University of Victoria (UVic) and the Vancouver-Fraser Medical Program (VFMP) at UBC has provided medical education training at these three sites since 2004. Visit http://imp.uvic.ca for more information.

Luther Court

Luther Court is a faith-based, not-for-profit diverse community of care with 60 complex care beds, 30 assisted living apartments, 28 subsidized independent apartments, and an adult day centre. Nanaimo Travellers Lodge Society

Nanaimo Travellers Lodge Society is a non-profit registered charity which operates Nanaimo Travellers Lodge, a 90 bed dedicated dementia care facility. We are the only dedicated dementia care facility in the central Vancouver Island serving five communities. Vancouver Island Crisis Society

The Vancouver Island Crisis Society is a registered non-profit agency, contracted by the Vancouver Island Health Authority to provide a 24-hour crisis line service along with other services for Vancouver Island, the islands of the Georgia Strait, and  the mainland communities between Powell River and Rivers Inlet. They work in partnership with Vancouver Island Health Authority to provide public access to Mental Health and Addictions services in the communities administered by VIHA.

Victoria Hospice & Palliative Care Foundation

Victoria Hospice provides care and support for individuals and their families facing advanced illness, death and bereavement. The Victoria Hospice team of physicians, nurses, counsellors, spiritual caregivers and volunteers provides expert physical, social, emotional and spiritual care.

Established in 1997, Victoria Hospice and Palliative Care Foundation is the fundraising arm of support to the Society in its mission ‘to enhance the quality of life for those facing advancing illness, death, and bereavement through skilled and compassionate care, education, research and advocacy.
