Job Summary

The Manager, Clinical Applications, is responsible for the management and coordination of staff, activities and budget associated with the development and operational support of the Vancouver Island Health Authority’s (VIHA) Enterprise Clinical Applications. This includes the provision of services for design, development, testing, implementation, upgrade and ongoing maintenance.

Qualifications

Education, Training and Experience

• A level of education and experience equivalent to a Master’s Degree in Health Information Science, Business Administration or Computer Science complemented by 5 or more years’ management experience within a health services organization.

Demonstrated Skills and Abilities

Preference given to candidates with formal clinical training and designations such as nursing or laboratory technician and having formal training and/or commensurate levels of experience with the Cerner clinical information system.
