Job Summary

The Vancouver Island Health Authority (Island Health) Division of Medical Imaging in Victoria is seeking a Radiologist with Nuclear Medicine specialist.

Eligible candidates must hold Royal College of Physicians and Surgeons of Canada certification in both Radiology and Nuclear Medicine and be eligible for full licensure with the College of Physicians and Surgeons of BC. Preference will be given to candidates with experience in PET CT.

The successful candidate will practice in a wide range of Radiology, including CT, MR, Ultrasound, general Radiography and Fluoroscopy, and bring Neuroradiology expertise to a group of over 20 radiologists, with a wide variety of subspecialty interests.  Participation in Breast Imaging and Interventional Radiology is not a requirement for this position, although as part of general duties the successful candidate will be expected to perform minor interventional procedures, including biopsies and drainages.

The group provides all of the imaging services from general to tertiary level to the south Vancouver Island portion of the Island Health including the Royal Jubilee Hospital, Victoria General Hospital, Saanich Peninsula Hospital, Lady Minto Hospital, and an outpatient Ultrasound clinic. 

The position includes participation in a full call schedule giving 24 hour services, and participation in resident teaching through the UBC Department of Radiology, and medical student teaching through the UBC Island Medical Program.
