Island Health is allotted eight seats in each Cohort of the program (usually two cohorts run per year). Physicians interested in attending the program should seek out a nomination from a medical leader within their department and/or division who would also be willing to provide them with a sponsorship letter (a requirement of the application). Nominations will be compiled and reviewed by the CMO for consideration. Successful candidates will then be contacted with the offer to register which includes the registration link.
Program costs including tuition and other expenses are covered for practicing physicians provided that they successfully complete and graduate from the program. These expenses are reimbursable through the Physician Leadership Scholarship program offered by the Shared Care Committee and Specialist Services Committee: Scholarships Program Policy (Participants) ; SSC Scholarship Claim Form.
