Child, Youth and Family Mental Health
We offer interdisciplinary outpatient services for children and youth who are experiencing serious, complex, emotional, behavioural and psychiatric challenges which have exceeded the resources of their home community.
Anscomb Outpatient Services is offered to children, youth and families experiencing serious and complext psychiatric challenges. The goal of the program is to work in concert with families to evaluate and plan treatment in order to increase a child or youth's mental health and functioning at home, at school and within the community. The Central Island Child and Adolescent Psychiatry Program (CICAPP) provides comprehensive and coordinated individual and family consultation and psychiatric evaluation and treatment for youth up to18 years old.
Our goals are to support youth and families living in Central Island communities to reduce significant emotional, behavioural, psychological and psychiatric symptoms and increase the mental health and functioning of youth at home, school and in their community. Read more about CIAPP.
The Collaborative Psychiatric Outreach service provides assessment and/or short term treatment for children and youth up to age 18.
We also provide consultation services to family physicians and/or community mental health and substance use teams for non-referred clients. Read more about Collaborative Psychiatric Outreach.
