Prevention Speech

 

This program provides speech and language services to infants, toddlers and preschool children.  

 

Services - Greater Victoria

    • Assessments
    • Individual therapy
    • Parent training for home programs
    • Parent course:  Early Language Stimulation

To receive services, children must:

  • have only speech and/or language delays or disorders, and
  • be preschool aged – not yet eligible for kindergarten.  

Children with developmental disabilities and children who are deaf or hard of hearing are not served by this program.

Services - Nanaimo

Children are assessed and intervention may be provided using a variety of methods including:

  • Consultation sessions with family
  • Parent groups targeting vocabulary building
  • Individual therapy
  • Play-based intervention
