Access to subsidized assisted living units is through a Home Health Assessment For more information on subsidized units, contact the Home Health Office nearest you. Building Description

This is a purpose built assisted living addition to the site of the Wellesley, close to downtown Victoria. The building was constructed in 2006 with 3 floors of 21 suites. It is built to the highest standards and offers accessible accommodation in conjunction with all the services and amenities that the Wellesley and Retirement Concepts can offer. There is also a roof top garden and courtyard area.

Building Amenities

Hairdresser salon, theatre, auditorium/stage, corner store, bistro, library, arts/crafts room, woodwork shop, fitness room, wheelchair/scooter area and an accessible bus.

Neighbourhood /Community Amenities

5 minutes to downtown and local shopping. Pharmacy, bank, restaurants and malls are minutes away.

Language, Culture or Religious Affiliation

All faiths and cultures are welcome. Our weekly church services are non-denominational as well as opportunities for specific denominations.

Seal of Approval - BCLSA. Will be part of RC accreditation process.

Type of Accommodation

    • 40 Island Health suites, all studios; kitchen area with apartment size fridge. Microwaves allowed. Not hot plates or stoves.

    Cost

    Residents pay 70% of their after-tax income which covers: 1) monthly rental accommodation; 2) hospitality services: two meals and two snacks daily, weekly housekeeping, laundry, etc.; 3) personal care; and 4) on-site emergency response system.  Residents on income assistance pay a flat rate.   Items not included as a part of the monthly fee include: telephone, cable, hydro, personal laundry, household and toiletry supplies, medications, personal care products and insurance.

    Motorized Scooter Policy

    Power wheelchair allowed inside and out. Scooters only for outside use.

    Visiting pets only. Must be on leash at all times and not enter food areas.

    Smoking Policy

    No smoking site.

    • Tenants must be 65+ years of age
    • Single occupancy (Couples only if both are eligible and want to live in separate units)

    Visiting Information

    24 hour visiting guest's suite on site for minimal fee.
