    Building Description

    Eagle Park, built in 1994, is located on a 5 acre wooded site beside the Qualicum Beach Aquatic center. The single story facility is divided into three units, each one having a dining room, lounge area and access to secure outside gardens. The green unit is a designatesd special care unit for residents with dementia who need a calm, secure environment.

    Building Amenities

    The building features many amenities and services including lounges, hair salon, and  outdoor courtyards. The quiet semi-rural setting is frequented by rabbits, dear and a variety of birds.  The spacious private and semi-private rooms all have wonderful outdoor views. Nutritious meals are cooked on site under the guidance of a Registered Dietician.

    Eagle Park is beside the Qualicum Beach Aquatic center and a short walk takes you to Qualicum Village where many shops, restaurants and services are available.

    Eagle Park is accredited by Accreditation Canada.

    Cost

    Residents pay up to 80% of their after tax income which covers the cost of food and accommodation.

    Special Recreational Opportunities

    An activity program offers a variety of events and activities residents may participate in. The bus is available for group outings and an active group of volunteers go for walks and visit with residents as well as operating our tuck shop.

    Must be kept in residents room.

    Pet Policy

    No pets are allowed to live in the building. The VIHA pet policy allows pets to visit.

    Smoking Policy

    Residents are allowed to smoke only in the designated area.

    Safety/Security Features

    All exits are locked and fencing around the gardens makes them safe for residents with dementia.  Each room has a nurse call system which can be activated if assistance is needed.
