Mount Edwards Court is located downtown Victoria in a residential area. There are many cafes, shops and restaurants within walking distance of the care home.

Our staff provide 24-hour per day assistance to residents to ensure all their care needs are being met, according to their personalized care plan. We have a Person Centered Care Philosophy, offering as much autonomy as possible.

Type of Accommodation
Mount Edwards Court offers 83 private, fully-furnished rooms. Residents are encouraged to bring personal items and décor to help make their room feel like home. The rooms include a small bathroom (toilet and sink), bed, bedside table, lamp, dresser with locking drawer and a chair. A cable TV outlet, phone jack and call bell system are also installed in each room.
Cost
Residents pay up to 80% of their after tax income which covers the cost of food and accommodation.
Special Recreational Opportunities
There are a variety of activities and entertainment offered at Mount Edwards Court including music therapy, bingo, movies, exercise, arts and crafts and occasional bus outings.
Accessibility
This is a fully accessible building. There is an elevator between the two floors.
Motorized Scooter Policy
No motorized Scooters due to width of the corridors.
Pet Policy
No pets permitted, however we do have regular visits from registered pet therapy animals.
Smoking Policy
No smoking permitted.
Safety/Security Features
The building is secured by key pad access. This is not considered a secure facility as there is no perimeter fencing.
Facility-Specific Restrictions
Some rooms are not large enough to accommodate residents who use wheelchairs or require mechanical lifts for transfers.
Visiting Information
Residents are encouraged to remain active and involved with the community, friends and family. Visiting hours are open so family and friends may visit at any reasonable time, and residents are encouraged to go out and visit. The Sign-Out sheet at the Nursing Station will need to be filled-in with the expected time of return. Please do not assist other residents to leave the building if they are unattended. Please do not visit if you have any symptoms of flu, cold, or illness.
Note: Provincial policy requires all visitors to be informed: "Violence, foul language and abusive behaviours are not acceptable. Verbal threats or acts of violence will not be tolerated and may result in removal from this facility and/or prosecution.”
