Victoria Cool Aid Society specializes in providing housing that supports people facing a variety of challenges.

Indoor Features

Apartments are all one-bedroom suites with full kitchens and good accessibility and safety features. Four suites are purpose built for wheelchair use. The dining room has outdoor deck space for relaxation. Scooter storage is available in the basement, or may be stored inside suite. Limited short-term visitor parking is available on site.

• Residents pay 70% of their after-tax income for the full package of services.
• Residents under age 65 receiving income assistance pay a pre-determined set rate.
• Residents with higher incomes pay up to a maximum amount based on comparative private services.
• This setting is funded by Independent Living BC.

Exit Criteria

• If an individual experiences a permanent decline in their health condition, a significant increase in care needs, or an inability to make decisions on their own behalf that cannot be reversed, a move from Assisted Living to a more appropriate setting will be necessary
• A VIHA Home and Community Care Case Manager will assist with this process as required.
