Description

Newly built to ILBC standards, this 68 unit, three storey seniors oriented building is located on 5.55 acres of tranquil Saanich Peninsula property near the community of Central Saanich.

Legion Manor is the result of long term planning by the South Vancouver Island Zone Housing Society. The new residence for those aged 55+ opened in September 2006, and is situated on the same grounds as the J. O. Anderson housing that has been providing independent apartments for seniors since 1977.

Indoor Features

The building offers a library, fully equipped fitness room, a step in tub/spa, beauty/barber shop, games room, crafts room and woodworking shop, as well as wellness clinics and more. A scooter storage room is accessible from the front entrance area.

Unit Features

Exit Criteria

  • If an individual experiences a permanent decline in their health condition, a significant increase in care needs, or an inability to make decisions on their own behalf that cannot be reversed, a move from Assisted Living to a more appropriate setting will be necessary
  • A VIHA Home and Community Care Case Manager will assist with this process as required.
