Leadership coaching is a confidential one-on-one relationship between a trained coach and a leader for the purpose of improving performance and personal effectiveness.
How is Coaching Provided?
There are three ways to access coaching:
- Coaching sessions are provided to each participant in VIHA's Leadership Development Program (Leading in a Learning Organization [LILO]).
- Internal coaches available upon request. The OD Consultant Team has completed a certification in Executive and Leadership Coaching.
- External coaches are available for contracting directly with your department or service. Contact Learning and Development at lad@viha.ca or 250.519.6950 for information.
How do you Pick a Coach?
Your choice of a coach can be based on a number of considerations, including the following:
- Wanting coaching in-person or by phone
- Same Myers-Briggs Type Indicator (MBTI) or different
- Appealing Biography
- Interview for a 'match'
- Availability
