Organizational Change at VIHA
The following thinking models, tools and resources are intended to ensure that VIHA’s change strategies are planned, designed and implemented successfully. We believe that this requires clear sponsorship, knowledgeable and effective change leadership and, engagement strategies that inspires creativity and support people in adapting to changes in a positive, sustaining manner.
Successful change within healthcare organizations involve the following key elements:
- Honouring, supporting and developing relationships
- Aligning change leadership with organization culture(s)
- Acknowledging professional goals and autonomy
- Inclusion of interdisciplinary teams
- Creating a shared vision and action plan
- Acknowledging the complexity of health care and providing for early adaptation
