Dear Web Page Visitor: In April 2013, VIHA changed the name of its Mental Health and Addictions programs and services to Mental Health and Substance Use Services to align with the provincial name of these services and to better reflect the work that we do. This name will gradually be changed in all references in the following pages and we thank you for your patience while this work is carried out.
VIHA's Adult Mental Health and Substance Use Services offers a range of services throughout Vancouver Island and the surrounding islands, as well as the mainland communities north of Powell River and south of Rivers Inlet.
Our priority is providing appropriate accessible services for adults with serious mental illness and/or addictions. We provide services in the context of a wider support network including other government agencies, aboriginal health organizations, community partners, public agencies, friends and families.
VIHA's Child Youth and Family Mental Health Services are delivered separately.
