Open Door is a Psychosocial Rehabilitation Program providing a safe environment where adults with mental illnesses can work towards realizing personal rehabilitation and recovery goals.

Intake provides a timely, single point of entry for all Cowichan Valley Mental Health and Addiction services.

Individuals Served

  • Adults 19 years and older with severe and persistent mental illnesses
  • Residents of the Cowichan Valley

Services

  • Psychosocial rehabilitation program to assist with goals related to personal life, leisure pursuits, education, and work.
  • Run by mental health staff, volunteers, and member facilitators.
  • Provides on-site and mobile support.
  • Promotes individual strengths and skills
  • Increases confidence, self-esteem and dignity
  • Allows for a sense of belonging
  • Promotes avenues towards employment
