Withdrawal Management Services encompasses four services for people in different stages of alcohol and drug recovery. Below you will find information about each service: Sobering and Assessment Centre, the Community Medical Detox Unit, Stabilization Unit and Recovery Addictions Support.

The Sobering and Assessment Centre is a 20 bed facility, offering shelter and assessment of inebriated clients for less than 24 hours.
Access to this service is through any of the following methods:
- Police referral
- Hospital referral
- Client walk-in to address above
The Community Medical Detox Unit is a 21 bed, short-term stay unit (approximately 7 days) for acute medical withdrawal, located at Eric Martin Pavilion.
Stabilization Unit is a 22 bed unit (7 to 30 days) for stabilization and reconnection with community resources, located at Eric Martin Pavilion.
Recovery Addictions Support (RAS) is a flexible day program for clients new to recovery. The program runs seven days per week and offers daily psychoeducational groups and complementary therapies.
Connections is a drop in group for those considering reducing or stopping substance use or have questions about services available. All are welcome between 2:30 - 3:30 on Tuesday and Friday at 1125 Pembroke Street. Please call 250-213-4441 for more information.
Access to the Victoria Withdrawal Management Services can be made by individuals, community partners and healthcare professionals by contacting CARES Clinic - Centralized Access and Rapid Engagement Services at 250-519-3485. Referrals are triaged daily.
