Developmental Disability Mental Health Team

The Developmental Disability Mental Health Team (DDMHT), formerly known as the Island Mental Health Support Team (IMHST), provides consultation and assessment services ONLY. 

Services are provided to individuals who:

  • Are age 14 years and older
  • Have a demonstrated developmental disability and co-occurring mental health illness. 
  • Are residents of Vancouver Island, the Gulf Islands, or Powell River.
  • Have first been assessed as eligible by Community Living BC (CLBC) or MCFD/CYSN (Ministry of Children & Family Development / Children & Youth with Special Needs) for youth age 14 - 18 yrs.

Access Services

Referrals are provided by the client's Community Living BC representative and must be approved by CLBC for adults 19 years and over or by MCFD / CYSN for youth ages 14 - 18 yrs.
