Access Housing
Individuals Served
- For all residential facilities and housing sites, individuals must meet the criteria for the individual site and,
- Have a professional clinician who follows the client and can be accessed for support for the duration of the client’s stay in the program,
- Have a psychiatrist,
- Be age 19 or over,
- Have a serious and persistent mental illness as the primary treatment issue. Symptoms of the illness must be of such a nature that the individual requires the level of care that is provided by the facility.
Referral Process

Referrals are accepted through the VIHA Pathways referral system and reviewed by the Housing Access Support Team. Individuals are matched to resources based on their support needs. Priority for vacancies is based on the current level of need, an individual's match for a particular vacancy, and system factors.
