Residential and Housing Services funds and administers a range of Community Support Services to enable individuals with mental health and addiction issues to live as independently as possible.

Access Services
Individuals Served
- Must have a severe and persistent mental illness,
- Have a mental health case manager,
- And have a documented rehabilitation plan for which Community Support Services meet well-supported clinical treatment needs as determined by the individual's treatment team.
Mental health case managers are assigned through the Victoria Mental Health Centre.
Referral Process
House Find and Moving Support

Assistance with searching for and securing affordable housing.

Assistance with packing, utility hook ups.

Assistance with securing movers.

Follow up with client in unpacking and ensuring they are settled.

Service is available Mon-Fri.

Must be referred by a mental health Case Manager.

Medication Monitoring Program

Staff make home visits to monitor compliance with medication regime for clients who face challenges managing their medications independently.

Medications are monitored by staff as directed by the client’s case manager/treatment team.

Client must be able to direct own care and store their medications safely in their home.

Must be referred by a Mental Health Case Manager, and the Case Manager must remain involved for duration of service provision.

An intake/care plan meeting between case management and the CSS Team Leader is required prior to provision of service.

Service is provided seven days a week, days and evenings, 365 days a year.

Provides affordable and "consumer-friendly" cleaning support.

Services are for clients with severe and persistent mental illness,

Who have a case manager,

Who are having difficulty maintaining a clean home and,
- Who do not have the financial or physical resources to find assistance elsewhere.
- Priority is given to individuals who are at risk of losing their housing due to difficulties maintaining a clean environment.
- The "Super Clean" Cleaning Company also offers a janitorial training and work experience opportunity.

On Site Support

CSS staff provide on site support at the Caribbean Apartments for 56 hrs per week. This includes being available to clients in the common area, offering a snack or coffee, and relaying concerns to the care team. A dinner is also prepared each weekend in which clients are welcome to take part.

CSS staff provide on site support at Cook St Apartments for 14 hrs per week. This is basic support including ensuring the house is safe and tidy, as well as supporting the residents on site.
