The Community Health Atlas uses a Geographic Information System to present health information. It can be used to view health status and community resources in map format.
Using the Atlas
If you plan to use the Atlas for health planning, please contact the VIHA Planning Department early in the process at: Grant.Hollett@viha.ca or (250) 519-1597.
The statistics contained in the Atlas are intended for people familiar with their use. To find more information regarding the statistics and data, please see:

Problems with starting the Atlas?
Step 1: Check your Browser
The viewer supports the latest versions of Internet Explorer (5.5 or newer), and Netscape (4.5 or newer) on the Windows platform.
The Atlas is not fully compatible with the Macintosh platform. Initial testing shows promising results for Safari on OS X, but we appreciate your feedback at CommHealth@viha.ca if you encounter a problem.
Step 2: Disable your Popup Blocker
To use the Atlas, you must disable your popup or ad blocker. How to disable pop up Blockers (pdf).
