Teaching future generations of physicians and specialists is a priority with the Department of Neurosciences:
- The department is a teaching venue for the Island Medical Program. As such, Patients going through the inpatient/outpatient neurology services may encounter 3rd and 4th year medical students.
- The Division of Neurosurgery offers Fellowship positions where trained neurosurgeons gain further subspecialized neurosurgical experience.
- The Division of Neurology serves as a community rotation for 4th year residents from the University of British Columbia Neurology program.
