VIHA's Disability Management Program is a coordinated and cooperative effort to assist employees who are unable to work due to injury, illness or disability. The Program addresses early intervention, active case management and the creation of opportunities for early safe return to work.
Disability Management uses modified work, transitional work, rehabilitation strategies, medical duty to accommodate and follow-up to ensure that VIHA employees either remain at work or quickly return to safe, productive and meaningful work.
