Chronic Kidney Disease

Certain individuals are at greater risk of developing kidney disease. You are considered to be at higher risk if you have diabetes, cardiovascular disease, hypertension or a family history of kidney disease.

People of certain ethnic origins are also at greater risk of developing Chronic Kidney Disease: First Nations, Asian, South Asian, Pacific Islands, and African.  Learn more.
