Diabetes

Diabetes is a chronic disease that affects a growing number of North Americans. It is a health condition in which the body:

  •  Does not make enough insulin or
  •  Cannot properly use the insulin it makes

This results in a higher than normal blood sugar.  Diabetes can be managed with healthy eating, physical activity, medication, and stress management.
