What is Primary Health Care to VIHA?
The Vancouver Island Health Authority defines Primary Health Care as the range of services individuals and communities receive on a regular, ongoing basis in order to stay healthy, get better, manage ongoing illness or disease, and cope with end of life. Different people in a variety of settings may provide primary health care services.
VIHA’s strong commitment to improving the delivery of primary health care to individuals and communities includes the Primary Health Care Strategy.
