The Comox Valley Nursing Centre, located in Courtenay BC, is a community based nursing service. As a VIHA-operated Primary Health Care service we offer direct access to registered nurses through 4 key areas:
- Drop in services in person or by telephone. We offer access to nursing services and health information on an open, self referral basis. No appointment required.
- Booked appointments with a nurse.
- Administrative and clinical support for self-help support groups.
- Community development regarding unmet health needs and gaps in services.
We take a pro-active and creative approach to find the best information and resources for our clients. Our philosophy is to facilitate each client’s ability to make decisions about their own health care and to identify their own strengths and personal resources. Collaboration with other health care professionals creates a "virtual interdisciplinary team"
