The first stage of the Specialist Services Committee's (SSC) Expression of Interest for $15M one-time funding is complete. The SSC has informed all applicants whether or not their projects have been selected to move to Stage 2.
Overall in BC, 329 ideas were submitted by specialists and reviewed against the mandate of the SSC and the funding criteria, as well as assessed by the relevant health authorities, participating specialty section heads and the SSC evaluation panel consisting of representatives from the Ministry of Health, health authorities and Doctors of BC. In some cases, additional consultations were held with other key stakeholders including regional or provinicial programs, working groups and other collaborative committees. Provincially, 44 proposals are advancing to the second stage of proposal development.
