Patient Advisory Council

The Patient Advisory Council is a diverse group of volunteers, from Vancouver Island communities, who meet regularly to provide a patient perspective and advice to health care leaders in Island Health. Volunteers consist of patients and family-members who are interested in sharing their health care experience and collaborating with care providers to improve quality care. This means providing insight into areas such as policy development, educational information, safety activities and more.

Members of the Patient Advisory Council and all patients interested in improving the role of patient-centered health care are encouraged to become a member of  the Patient Voices Network as well as Island Health volunteers.
