Safer Healthcare Now!

Program of the Canadian Patient Safety Institute, existing to raise awareness and facilitate implementation of ideas and best practices to achieve a transformation in patient safety. Safer Healthcare Now! is a resource for frontline health-care providers, health organizations, health quality committees and councils, and provincial health ministries.

Institute for Safe Medication Practices Canada

Works collaboratively with the health-care community, regulatory agencies and policy makers, provincial, national and international patient safety organizations, the pharmaceutical industry and the public to promote safe medication practices.

Institute for Healthcare Improvement (IHI)

Not-for-profit organization that promotes improvement within health care. Website includes courses and certificates on patient safety, models of improvement and leading quality improvement examples.

National Health Service for Innovation and Improvement

Supports the transformation of Great Britain’s National Health Service, through innovation, improvement and the adoption of best practice. Website provides tools, resources and information on quality initiatives.

National Institute for Health and Clinical Excellence (NICE)

Provides evidence-based guidance to support health-care professionals in improving quality of care.
