The LSRR program works one year in delay. The program recognizes employees who, between January 1 and December 31 of the previous calendar year, reached a milestone of 10, 15, 20, 25, 30, 35, 40, 45 and 50 years.
Retirement - Retirees with 15 or more service years who retired on or after April 30 of the previous year and on or before April 30 of the current year.

Long Service recipients with 10 years of service will receive a thank you card and pin.
Long Service & Retirement recipients with 15, 20, 25, 30, 35, 40, 45 and 50 years of service will receive an invitation to attend one of multiple island wide recognition events, as well as the following additional items:
- 15, 20, 25, 30, 35, 40, 45 & 50 years of service – a pin and a gift of the recipients' choice selected from their milestone year gift catalogue.
- Retirees with 15 or more years of service – a gift of the recipients' choice selected from the retirement gift catalogue.
- Please note: employees who retire during a milestone year will also receive the gift offering and pin associated with the achievement of the milestone (as described above).

Invitations and registration:
Invitations are sent to the homes of all recipients with 15+ years of service during mid December. The registration period will end approximately 3 weeks after the distribution of the invitations. The invitations provide each recipient with a personalized access code that they can use to log into the online registration website and select the event and gift (with guest) that they prefer.
Events and Gifts:
12 or more events will be held in February and March in many cities across the North, Central and South regions of the health authority.
Managers and Directors are invited to the events to honour the contributions of staff in their departments. At the events, refreshments and appetizers are served, and recipients are individually presented with their pins and gifts. Following the events, pins and gifts are distributed to the recipients who were not able to attend an event.
