Additional awards:

For a second year, the VIHA Scholarship Committee and VIHA’s Aboriginal Recruitment and Retention Strategy are pleased to offer two internal Aboriginal scholarships (valued at $500 each) that support the educational endeavors of our Aboriginal employees.

The Scholarship Committee makes decisions on an annual basis about awards that are given out in addition to the standard VIHA Scholarships. If you would like to be considered for these awards, in addition to your completed application also attach a brief summary of why you should be considered for these special awards. The summary should include the program you are working on, how the program will benefit VIHA, your career plan and the amount of funds you will be spending on course fees during the year.

This information will be looked at by the Scholarship committee and will potentially be used to determine the recipients of the funding.

Scholarships were distributed to 358 successful applicants in 2011. Congratulations to the successful recipients!
