Employment Status
The scholarship program is open to any casual, part-time, or full-time employee of VIHA, whatever their position (e.g. union-contract, health care professional, non-contract).
Commitment of Service
After receiving scholarship funds, the scholarship recipient will be expected to commit to a minimum of one year service with VIHA.
Applicant Enrollment & Tuition Payment Requirements
The applicant must meet the following enrollment and tuition payment requirements during the scholarship eligibility period:
- be enrolled in the course program, have successfully completed the course/program, or be registered to begin attending the course/program.
- be able to provide personally paid tuition receipts indicating payment was made during the scholarship eligibility period.
The scholarship eligibility period includes the 2 year period beginning June 1st of the year prior to the current application deadline and ending June 1st of the year directly following the current application deadline.
Course/Program Curriculum Requirements
Eligible courses and programs include any formal areas of study that lead to a certificate, diploma or degree.
The delivery of the program/course may be through distance education or attendance at an educational institution.
