Spiritual Care Services

Sunday Services

3:00 P.M. alternately in the Hillside or Lansdowne main dining rooms.

Christian non-denominational worship services are held each Sunday. The following churches or ministers lead:

1st Sunday of the month (Hillside Unit main dining room)

  • John Merriman

2nd Sunday of the month (Lansdowne Unit main dining room)

  • Volunteer worship leader needed

3rd Sunday of the month (Hillside Unit main dining room)

  • Oaklands Chapel

4th Sunday of the month (Lansdowne Unit main dining room)

  • Salvation Army

5th Sunday of the month (Hillside Unit main dining room)

  • Gordon and Agnes Craig

Other Services

The Rev. Steve Gale and Elly Molnar lead a Bible/religious discussion group for residents every Thursday at 10:30 A.M. in the Oasis Room in the Lansdowne Unit

Other Programs Sponsored by Spiritual Care Services

Aberdeen Men’s Group meets on Wednesdays at 10:30 A.M. in the Oasis Room of the Lansdowne Unit.

Requests for one-to-one visits from clergy of a specific denomination should be made to the Chaplain (250) 370-8207.

The Hospital Chaplain or Spiritual Care Services volunteers upon request will visit residents of all faiths to offer spiritual support.

Spiritual Care Services staff and volunteers respect and affirm the spiritual convictions of all residents.
