Telehealth

Telehealth at the Vancouver Island Health Authority uses state of the art technology to make connections between care providers and their patients, as well as care providers and educational resources.

Vancouver Island communities face a variety of geographical and cultural challenges. Telehealth services help overcome these barriers by connecting people via telecommunication technologies.

Telehealth allows VIHA to extend a number of services that have been previously limited to major urban centres to a greater number of Vancouver Island communities.
