Qualifications
Formal membership as a member of the auxiliary is required for Auxiliary positions.

Program Workers
Work with or under general supervision of activity workers to assist with activity programs (crafts, bingo, bowling, baking/teas etc.), community outings (schools, meals out, museum, mall etc.) or one to one visitations (accompany on walk, cards, visit and direct to programs etc.).
One to One Visitors
Work under the general supervision of activity workers and facility staff to carry out specific one to one interventions with residents in the facility and out in the community, e.g., out for coffee, reading, church related, out on handyDART to appointments or programs, computer, games, etc.
Auxiliary
Auxiliary volunteers assist in fundraising by working at the Yucalta Lodge general store, with bingo and on special projects. Auxiliary members also assist activity workers with bingo, birthday parties, special events, community outings and one to one appointments/programs.

PATS Pet Visitations
Visit residents with pets approved by VIHA and the Pacific Animal Therapy Society. Volunteers and veterinarians complete screening and orientation. Approved volunteers visit Yucalta Lodge residents one to one and in small groups with a pet.
Entertainers/Performers
Provide musical entertainment, dance or other performing art presentation for groups of residents, under the general supervision and assistance of activity workers.
Spiritual Services
Local churches provide services to residents utilizing clergy and congregation members who are not individually registered as volunteers. Specific positions are available for registered volunteers for bible reading one to one or small groups, music and other related programs.
